Making your own book

Together with two fabulous visual artists, Ruth Anne Merner and Lynn Haygarth, we just finished a six week workshop on hand-made books. Ruth Anne showed how to hand-make a book with flair and pizazz while Lynn taught water-colours so effectively that even I caught on. Meanwhile, I tried to inspire the class in the written word. The class results were very impressive. And it was a lot of fun to boot.

By the way, if you are anywhere near Exeter Ontario, you might be interested in Art Around Town a new community group devoted to artisitc pursuits. More art classes and art shows are in the works. Watch for the notices.

When all goes right but that’s not aways the way,
Those who try to kill someone will get away.
Police cruiser flying over the cliff,
    Comes cashing into the bay.
    Appearing from out of darkness,
    He vanishes the same way.

No book has ever been written to come close to this story but one.
